Have not bled mine yet, but read good things about the Motive Bleeder. I will try that and if it doesn't work well I'll go the old fashioned way:

I'm glad that I could be of help.

Have you ever bled your brakes before? My first time bleeding, I used an autozone pump to try and suck out the fluid. This took hours, and the end result was awful. If you can get a friend to help you out, I highly suggest doing the old-fashioned pumping the brake pedal method. The bleed will come out much much better.

I just bled mine on Sunday using the pedal method, and now my pedal feel is excellent.

I also have a set of the Posi-Quiets, and I use them as my winter pads. They work awesome, and hardly dust at all!

OK, just wanted to make sure. I will probably end up getting them from Turn in Concepts as they are both neighbors and friends and have been taking good care of me for years.

My car is a 2007 STi in Satin White Pearl. It's a Stage 2+ car (has a UEL header) making 300HP/350TQ and has a full Ohlins/Whiteline/Group N/JDM Pink suspension system. I run it in Auto-X and TSD rallies. No HPDE yet!

On the brakes: I have a Motive Bleeder and some ATE Super Blue ready to go in, but need to get pads. I am running the Stoptech Posi-Quiets right now, but they are not good for motorsports. Your review has helped me decide on the Hawk HP+ so thanks!

Mitch,

Your right. It appears TireRack has raised the price significantly. I just checked my order history, and I definitely got them for much cheaper than they are now. I'd still reccomend picking them up from TireRack though, just because they have incredible customer service.

The first set they sent me, the fronts actually had a small hole in one of the pads. (small defect) I called up on a Thursday at 5pm, and they had a new front set of pads on my door step by 10am the next day! That's INCREDIBLE if you ask me!

Good luck on your hunt. By the way, what kind of car do you drive? I just installed SS lines on my STi this past weekend and they feel great! I'm running ATE SuperBlue fluid as well, and I feel that with the HP+ pads, my braking really can't get any better!
