Ken Block has recently announced that he will be holding a Gymkhana GRID Invitational event this upcoming weekend. The intention of this event is to expand Gymkhana’s reach, and to increase it’s popularity. (like he hasn’t done so already ) He plans to do this by inviting some of the world’s top drivers to compete with him head to head on a specially designed Gymkhana course. Not to mention, these events are a great way for DC Shoes to gain exposure. Clearly, this event is building on the success of Block’s previous gymkhana videos: one, two, and three.

The event will take place this upcoming Friday and Saturday (December 3rd and 4th) at Irwindale Speedway in Irwindale, California. Some of the invited hot shoe drivers for this weekend’s event include Tanner Foust, Andrew Comrie-Picard, and Vaughn Gitten Jr. As many of you know, Gymkhana is pretty much one giant drift-fest, so I’m looking forward to footage of this event. Well folks, it looks like Mr. Block is back yet again. This time he’s out with Gymkhana 3: Part 2. Part 1 of Gymkhana 3 was pretty much a rap music video, but Part 2 which was released today features a very impressive 7 minutes of driving. Even though it’s a Ford – Ken Block pulls off some awesome moves in his AWD equipped Ford Fiesta rally car.

There really isn’t much to say, except this video is a must watch. Even with preparation and the proper setup, I’m still surprised Travis Pastrana went through with the jump. Now it’s just a matter of time before Ken Block comes up with something new. Video after the break!

It’s finally here! Ken Block’s new Gymkhana video is now out for the public to see. I’ve been waiting for quite some time to see the video; and it was certainly worth the wait.

This second round, Block has used his GR-based 2009 Impreza WRX STi in the video. The car features a Crawford CP35R turbo kit mated up to a Crawford Performance SR5 2.65L Race Engine, which blasts an output of 566whp and 611 lb-ft of torque.

Overall the video packs a nice punch. This time it features some nice slow motion shots, coupled with a few special effects. We still aren’t really sure why DC/Block called it an Infomercial, but to each their own. Overall, a solid performance for sure, taking place at the Port of Los Angeles.

For those of you not in the loop, Block released his first Gymkhana video last year in November. (Which can be found here) Sure, it may contain some over the top flashy and showy stunts, but who doesn’t want to see a 500whp+ Crawford Performance powered STi drift around all types of obstacles?

This video is a must watch for any car enthusiast!

After the rally, Petter decided to hop up onto the roof of his WRC2008 car, during a parade lap. He managed this task with ease, as we’ve seen him do this before. Although getting back into the car proved to be much more of a challenge.

So what does it feel like to drive a 722 AWHP Impreza? Well Olly Clark from Roger Clark Motorspot LTD should certainly know! After all, he is the 2008 PRO Time Attack Champion.

For any car fans, regardless of brand loyalty, this is a must see video! Olly drives the car on tarmac and sometimes it seems like he’s in a rally race. Watch him drift this 700 hp Impreza throughout the 2008 season.

C’mon, you had to see this coming. Did you really think Pastrana, the man who jumps out of a plane sans chute was going to just sit around and let his Subaru Rally teammate, Ken Block, get all the attention for jumping rally cars. Of course not. So a few months ago for the cover of Racer X, Travis and Ken set up this little stunt. A mash-up of motox and rally hoonage. Kudos we say. Check the video below.

And here’s what Ken had to say about it: “Glad Travis didn’t hit his head on the top of my car and at least I didn’t break my back this time.”
